2 kinds of stain in our soul
1. Sin (go to confession)One unforgivable sin- sin against the Holy Spirit- final impenitence- go to death defying God
2. Punishment due to sin- temporal punishment but not the eternal punishment (Hell)

- Perfect love (fasting and penance)
- Almsgiving
- Plenary Indulgences- can wipe both sin and temporal punishment- adoration, scripture, rosary, station of the cross, confession within 20 days, communion, intention of the pope, no attachment to sin even VENIAL BUT THIS SEEMS EXTREME so the solution is DIVINE MERCY

For a Confession to be Valid
1. Confess all grave sins you can remember
2. Have some form of contrition
3. Do satisfaction (penance)

Conditions of DM Sunday- Confession and Communion

The Priest is the one who forgives our sins, that grace comes from God
In Persona Christi
"Whose sins you forgive are forgiven in heaven and whose sins you retain are retain in heaven"

Confession doesn't have to be on DM Sunday, the Church teaches any time before as long as you are in the state of grace, not aware of any unconfessed sin

Communion has to be on that day either at the vigil or the Sunday Masses

Lord Jesus Christ son of the Living God You promised St Faustina that the soul that has been to confession, I have and the soul that receives Holy Communion I just did you promised that soul does that will receive the incredible gift of complete forgiveness of sins and all punishment, Jesus please give me this grace.

It doesn't mean your immune now, you to have to have rectification of the will and purpose of amendment

God didn't forbid graven images, He forbid them for worshipping them because God commanded Moses to have a graven image in the ark of the covenant (Cherubim) and a serpent on the top of the pole to be save.

- Rays- to hide in these rays from the wrath of the Father because you can be cleansed by these two rays
- Second coming- the right foot of Jesus

Novena- 9 days of prayer- the 9 days that Mary spent with the apostles in the upper room at the Pentecost, the DV novena is the only novena that is not our intention but God's intentions

We share in the 3 fold offices of Christ
Prophet- teach and instruct
King- govern you life, body, your loved ones, the ways of the Lord
Priest- not a ministerial priest, we share the common priesthood that can offer a sacrifice to God
