The Four Acts of Christ on Calvary

Every Mass we are going back to the Passion and Crucifixion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, it is the re-enactment of the Salvific action of Christ thus, it has four acts or ends on Calvary:

1st- Thanksgiving

- The first act that Christ rendered to His Heavenly Father- Thanksgiving
- He repaid/ matched that infinite goodness of God's gifts

2nd- Adoration
- When Christ was lifted up on the Cross on Calvary and on every Mass in the altars, he renders the true God acknowledging Him that God the Father has dominion over all things
- Act of adoration is a self-effacing and putting God with all the credit "mines nothing, God everything"

3rd- Expiation
- An infinite act of expiation/reparation/atonement- the satisfaction of every sin committed
- by one venial sin God is offended infinitely

4th- Petition
offers up imputation, impetrate, petition
- efficacious entreaty to God the Father for all the needs of humanity
- The only thing that man is entitled to be eternal damnation for his sins and punishment but Christ offered upon the Cross
- Sending to God the Father a stinging efficient entreaty for all man's needs
- Our souls manifest an infinite adoration to God for Christ's infinite act of Adoration

Conclusion
- Every Mass these four infinite acts of Christ are infinite but the application of these is limited to those who are present on people because of the disposition of each person
- We lack disposition, lack of generosity, charity, and distraction
